• It is an economical, power efficient and wearable pedometer based on MSP430G2553 microcontroller.

• Designed a simple sensor with push button to calculate the number of steps taken while walking. Everytime the person puts a step on the ground, the button gets pressed and the signal is sent to the microcontroller.

​

• The model first calibrates itself for any stride length of a person by allowing the person to walk for 10 meters.

​

• It then calculates number of steps taken, distance walked, time taken and the speed of the person and displays on LCD screen.​
